so WAY back), we never imagined making such an impact. Yes, it seems DogsInDanger has made a difference, a difference in our lives, in the dogs’ lives,
and we hope in your life. We thought it an appropriate time to step back for a moment and take an introspective look at ourselves.

Our Heroes
Britt Gage is a busy woman with lots of responsibilities, balancing home, family and numerous philanthropic interests. But when she learned of a
website called DogsInDanger and found the sad eyes of a dog named Carrie looking back at her, life for Britt suddenly changed. Scrolling
through the faces of dogs scheduled to die, Britt knew it was time for action. She not only adopted Carrie from Bladen County NC,
but also personally sponsored 37 other doomed dogs at the shelter to be saved! Britt paid to have the dogs vetted and transported to various rescues
and homes in Florida.
The following week, Britt flew to meet Bladen County volunteers and staff in person where she adopted a second dog named Trudy.

Shelters rewarded for their courage
DogsInDanger announced today a revolutionary program to reward participating shelters with cash for posting their dogs on DogsInDanger.com.
“We were always looking for a way to give something back to the shelters that have shown so much courage by working with us” said Brenda Bush of DogsInDanger.
The innovative program grants one dollar for each dog that is posted on the site regardless of whether the dog is
adopted, rescued or euthanized.
